2020 Race Towards Autism Acceptance 5k, 10k, & 1Miler

Race registration for the in-person events has been closed as this event has hit its cap.  There is no race day registration.

Points count towards our Year-Long 5k, 10k, Kids & Back of the Pack Series.  Points will also count towards our Summer series  Find more info about the series here.

Runners Receive:

Finisher's Medal, Technical (Drifit) Event Shirt, & A Chip Timed Event

First 100 to sign up will receive a specialty autism awareness pin. 

This race benefits Cooking Autism, Inc.; a non-profit organization whose mission is to supply life-skills and cooking classes to special education classrooms around  the Greater Fredericksburg area... because every child deserves the very best opportunities of growth, and every teacher deserves the support to help them reach their goals!

Come race towards autism awareness and acceptance.  All races will begin at Old Mill Park and will run down the Rappahannock River Canal Path in historic Fredericksburg.  Following the start of the race there will be a family festival with a bounce house and slide, DJ music, games, vendors, specialty cars, children swings, food trucks, service dogs, face painters, and much more! There will be family fun for all ages and abilities.

Vendors will include: Pohanka Nissan of Fredericksburg, Slate Realty, Affordable Automotive Repair (look for the autism themes smart car), Spectrum Autism Services, and Stafford Early Autism Services, and many more!

Walkers, wheelchairs, strollers are welcomed! Note for those with wheels; The festival will take place on a grassy field.

Now offering a virtual run option for those who cannot make it on race day.  You will receive a medal.

10k - 7:30am

5k – 7:45am

1-Miler – 9am

Registration Fees

Kids 1-Miler - $15 (Cotton T-Shirts)

5k – $25, until February 28 ($30)

10k – $40, until February 28 ($45)

T-shirts guaranteed to runners registered before Sept 4.  We will order extra t-shirts for those who register after that date, but it is on a first-come first-served basis.

Directions to Parking

The race starts and ends in Old Mill Park (2410 Caroline Street, Fredericksburg, VA 22401).  Parking is within the park.
