About this event

Latest Update from Governor’s Order on 12/10 & Executive Order – While the order still states waves can still be up to 25, we will have waves closer to 10.  More wave info will be sent on the night before the race.  Please note specific check-in times for each event.  Runners cannot check-in prior to their time.  Limited t-shirts will be available for those who register within 12 days of the race. We encourage participants to bring their own water. With the latest update that "masks are also required on NPS-managed lands when physical distancing cannot be maintained, including narrow or busy trails, overlooks and historic homes."  While this race isn't on NPS property, we do host about 40% of our races on NPS land so we want to keep our guidelines consistent.  There are a few sections of the trail in the race that could be fairly busy and very difficult to stay 6+ feet away from others. We understand no one wants to wear a mask when running, but please abide by this new ruling when you near other runners, bicyclists, and other members of the public.

Points count towards our Year-Long 5k, 10k, Endurance & Back of the Pack Series.  Points will also count towards our Winter Series.  Find more info about the series here.

Runners Receive:

Finisher’s Coin, Technical (Drifit) Event Shirt, & A Chip Timed Event

Benefiting Boulder Crest Retreat.  Boulder Crest is the nation’s first privately-funded rural wellness center dedicated to combat veterans, first responders and their family members. We operate two beautiful facilities – Boulder Crest Retreat Virginia is a 37-acre facility located in the Blue Ridge Mountains in Bluemont, Virginia and Boulder Crest Retreat Arizona, a 130-acre ranch located inside the Coronado National Forest in Sonoita, Arizona.  We offer two, nationally unique programs, 1) Our PATHH Programs (Progressive and Alternative Training for Healing Heroes) focuses on PTSD and provides warriors and their families with the opportunity to process their traumatic experiences through a variety of evidence-based posttraumatic growth training techniques and 2) Our family rest and reconnection (R&R) stays provide families with the needed time to enjoy valuable time together.
